YOGA FOR ATHLETES
This 6-Week class is for all athletes looking for the perfect complimentary practice to their sport specific training. Yoga for Athletes is not necessarily “hard-core” yoga. As athletes, you’re already pushing your body in intense ways. Your yoga practice should honor and reflect what kind of sport you do, where you are at in your training and your overall abilities and needs. Variations will be given so that each athlete can benefit from the practice in a way that works for their body.
When practiced consistently, yoga brings awareness to movement patterns and muscular imbalances, increases flexibility, balance and range of motion. It also helps reduce injuries while improving endurance, core strength and efficient breathing. Yoga also provides mental benefits like reduced stress, a calm mind, plus sharper focus and concentration skills. Yoga gives athletes an opportunity to recover, recharge and rejuvenate ~ preparing them physically, mentally and spiritually for intense workouts, race days and daily life.

Karen Kenney has created yoga classes for some of NH’s most talented and dedicated athletes! Her Yoga for Athletes class was originally designed for her friend, Ironman Triathlete & Multi-Sport Coach – Sean Snow and his S2 Coaching team. She works with the Manchester Monarchs Hockey Team and continues to share the benefits of yoga with athletes from all over NH.

Sean Snow is a five time Hawaii Ironman Qualifier and finisher. He is a five time 70.3 Worlds Qualifier and has competed in 13 Ironman races. He is a ten year certified spin instructor and a five time USA Triathlon All-American.
As a coach, he specializes in designing triathlon/running programs for athletes whose abilities range from first timers to expert level. His philosophy is quite simple, “Dare to Dream-Start to Finish.”
