Johannah

Johannah Blackman has been practicing yoga for twelve years and teaching for five. She received her 200-hour teacher certification from the Kripalu Center and has trained with, amongst others, Shiva Rea, Dharma Mittra and Seane Corn. Her style of yoga pulls from many different influences and her interest lies in designing classes that meet the needs of her students, making the practice accessible to all.

Johannah holds a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and explores the intersection between psychology, yoga and living the best life possible. She strongly believes that yoga is a path that connects us with our strength and teaches us how to live from an integrated, powerful place, while also giving us the tools to meet life fully.

She also explores and teaches on the way in which yoga helps us connect to our passion and make a positive contribution to the world beyond the space of our yoga mats. Her classes and workshops focus on bringing the practice of yoga into our daily lives to make an effective difference in the world.

Johannah teaches yoga at Cattitude Yoga Studio in Bar Harbor, ME and occasionally at Quest Yoga Studio. She is one of the guest presenters of the Quest Yoga Teacher Training beginning in September 2012.
